- How is marital property divided?
- Assets acquired through work during the marriage are as a rule divided equally, regardless of whose name they are in. Separate property (acquired before marriage, gifts, inheritance) is excluded.
- Are prenuptial agreements valid in Croatia?
- Yes — spouses can regulate their financial relations differently from the statutory regime by marital agreement. It must be in writing with certified signatures; legal assistance in drafting is strongly recommended.
